The Economics of $elf-e$teem
If you have a goal of economic security, ask yourself this one question: What is the feeling? A distinct emotion is being sought. Perhaps, it is a feeling of superiority being pursued; maybe a feeling of security, of never having to worry about the stress of bill paying is the coveted emotion. It may well be, that the emotion of feeling like a success is what the money will allegedly bring.
Here’s a little fodder to chew on: In all these cases, the true emotion being chased is the sensation of freedom. Financial security means less stress and fewer restrictions. Financial security means more autonomy, and certainly opens the doors of more choices.
Experience the Emotion Now
Freedom is yours right now. All you need to do is adjust your perspective; feel the bounce in your step and the increase in your self-esteem as you begin to express gratitude for all you presently have. Rather than looking at lack and want, look for the abundance of your life, now. As a result of focusing on the plentiful experience, you’ll be expanding the bounty.
Today’s thought prompt:
What Is Focused On Expands
By placing the focus onto the good in life, more good is attracted. Expressing gratitude brings about more for which to be grateful. As an additional awareness, placing the focus on negative events and allowing negative thoughts, actually kills the brain cells; they explode, and die. Conversely, when your thoughts are positive, you are forming new neural networks in your brain that will work to begin to actually transform your brain chemistry. Your healthier brain will work to seek out more for which to be grateful.
Prosperity affirmations:
- Today I am focused on all the gifts of my life, as I am present at every moment.
- I am open to receiving.
- I allow the flow of abundance into and through my life.
- I AM prosperous.
- I am worthy of receiving the universal good.
- I am the source of all my prosperity.
- I prosper daily.
- I let go of fear of lack.
- I trust in the perfection of universal generosity.
- I share my wealth willingly.
(And as a side note, hunting anything generally results in the hunted becoming more elusive; as an alternative to chasing the rabbit, allow it to come to you as you go about the business of appreciating your life, now.)
At the end of each day, find the many ways in which prosperity came into your life. For example, if someone bought your lunch, acknowledge the gift; if you found a penny on the ground, give thanks for the symbol of prosperity; if you received a discount at a store, express gratitude for the abundance. By beginning to be more aware, and then giving thanks for the many ways in which the universe gives to you, you are allowing for more good to flow in.

Dr. Oz, according to his children, has one demand of them. “Show up,” he says to his children. The doctor’s advice is a clue to experiencing the best life possible.
Five Ways to Fulfillment:
- Show up consistently at the banquet of your life.
- Fall deeply in love with all the parts of who you are in your perfect human condition.
- Express gratitude daily, for your unique experience.
- Be an active participant and the captain of your personal journey.
- As does any airline pilot, adjust your course as needed to reach the chosen target.
By showing up at each moment, and building your platform of solid self-esteem, your rewards will be, and are currently, many.
Thank you, often.
