Spring Forward into Life

Spring…

Harsh winters, I think, can steal a part of the spirit. Especially if  the sun is too far to penetrate the darkness, it can be easy to stay beneath the heavy blankets of short days for far too long. It can become a habit of obscurity that sneaks up, takes hold like a bottle of spirits.

As organic beings, we hibernate somewhat during winter months, and then we too awaken refreshed in springtime. Or at least that’s the cycle of life plan….

Spring brings the promise of renewed life after the winter kill. Hormones pique; the skin tingled with the touch of the breeze’s fingers; people come out to experience the sun’s rays, and are generally friendlier and more engaged; once dead botany appears to miraculously come back to life.

I adore the energies of this season of awakening. As I lumber from my cave, blink at the sun, and embrace the freshness there is a (forgive the pun) spring in my step. It is clear that I am as much a part of Nature’s cycle as are the fluctuating seasons.

Despite what the thermometer says, wherever you are, I hope you’ll take a moment today to acknowledge the changing seasons, and to really feel your place among the cosmic perfection.

~Burst Out of the Darkness~

If you’re in the Northern hemisphere, celebrate that you have survived another winter, and that today is the first day of Spring, and perhaps of your emergence from the past. Today, make a choice to be, do, and have whatever it is you desire to be, do, or have.

The year is almost one-quarter over. Have you accomplished all you said you’d do this year? Are you on track for reaching a milestone? Today is the day to take stock, to shift your wing flaps and make certain you’re on course to reach the destination of your choice.

Happy contrails….

As always, with love, light, and gratitude.

How is it that Negative Ions are so Positive?

Living near the Pacific Ocean is an unfair advantage. Not only because the beauty of Nature is a built-in muse, but also, because the negative ions swirl around like giddy  children at a sugar-infused birthday party, delightfully bringing smiles to even the sternest curmudgeon.

The ions bring quick insight. Thoughts come in so rapidly that it is impossible to capture every profound inspiration. This magnitude of genius doesn’t come in an everyday shower even when using the best bath products. Nope. This sort of inflow takes great bodies of oceanic waters.

I’m thinking that perhaps because all of consciousness is a magnificent pool of ripples, the oceans of Earth are microcosms of a much bigger picture. Imagine then, that the oceans give off negative ions of inspiration, mimicking the infinite cosmic consciousness that contains all. Yes, it’s a lot to get a mind around. But imagine it anyway.

You are that infinite cosmic consciousness. You have always been. You will always be. With your every movement, your every thought and mood, you stir the cosmic ocean with your energies. The waves ripple, and the tides return in exact match, answering as if to answer your everything and allness. What are you calling? What waves are returning to you? What energies do you infuse into your tiny microcosm that ripple effects for the whole of all?

We have much to learn from water. Beginning with an awareness of the effect of our thoughts on the tiniest crystals as Dr. Masaru Emoto writes in Hidden Messages in Water, to the expanded awareness of our little universe being just a gnat on a gnat’s buttocks, to discovery of the smallest particle of existence which is likely also the grandest particle of existence which is thought, and simultaneously expanding our awareness to the most vast and infinite unimaginable. It’s all the same thing. We are, it is, I am, you are…endlessly one.

The next time you take a sip of water, turn on a tap, or bathe, or marvel at the vast power of the ocean, take a silent moment and absorb the immensity of the experience, and realize that you too are this. You are as small and as vast as infinity. Cool, ehh?~As always, with love.~Thank you, often.
