Shame: The Silent Saboteur of a Woman’s Worth

Today, I’m going to be ultra-frank, and share with you that over the decades of coaching women, I’ve noticed that there is one pervasive, sticky emotion that keeps far too many women quietly suffering, hiding behind smiles, accomplishments, and designer lipstick. It’s shame. And it’s time we call it out.

SHAME:

Shame is not just an emotion—it’s a thief.
It robs women of confidence.
It sabotages relationships.
It dulls joy.
And it silently barricades the door to the life you deeply desire and wholly deserve.

Here’s the raw truth: Shame often isn’t something you did. It’s something you inherited.

Shame-Based Living

From the moment a baby girl is born, she is unconsciously steeped in a stew of cultural shame. A legacy passed down through generations—from the “original sin” of Eve handing over that proverbial apple, to being told to sit pretty, be quiet, not be “too much,” not take up space, not need anything, not want too much, not shine too brightly.

And over time, this embedded shame becomes so normalized that she doesn’t even recognize it’s there. Like wallpaper in a childhood bedroom—it just becomes part of the background. But here’s the thing: it’s affecting everything.

It affects how she shows up in her relationships.
It affects how she sees her reflection in the mirror.
It affects how she handles money, love, pleasure, and power.
It affects how much she believes she is allowed to have.

Shame can show up as…

  • Self-sabotage
  • People-pleasing
  • Over-indulging or depriving
  • Perfectionism or paralysis
  • Depression masked as “I’m just tired”
  • An unexplained heaviness in the body or the bank account

And because shame festers in the dark, it convinces her to keep quiet.
But here’s what I know for sure, after four decades of working with women:
The moment a woman identifies shame for what it is, she begins to take her power back.

Self-awareness is the first sacred step toward liberation through self-love.

When a woman gets radically honest and says, “Yes. I’ve been carrying this shame. And it’s not even mine to carry,” she begins the process of coming home to herself.

And that, my dear Winged Woman, is where the healing begins.

This is where Gestalt work becomes a miracle-maker. We stop talking about the shame and start talking to it. We give it a voice, a name, a shape, and we let it say what it needs to say—so that it can finally go.

I’ve created a powerful tool to guide you through this exact process:

And because you’re a subscriber, you get special pricing of $17… But this special pricing goes away very soon…
