The Power of DECISION—Cutting Away the Life You No Longer Want

The #1 Killer of Dreams is INDECISION…

I wonder how many decisions you make in an average day: The decision to get out of bed or not; the decision to wear this and not that; you decide to shower or not. to eat or not, and what to eat or not; the apple or the donut; this route or this one?; to take that new job or not; to date the bad boy or the better choice….

Your days consist of hundreds, if not thousands of decisions. Most are easy and are made quite quickly. It probably takes less time and attention to decide, as example, to get out of bed. You likely just get up without much thought.

Bigger decisions, those that require that you actually invest some energy in deciding between varied options, such as what to cook for dinner, require you make the choice and go from there. Still, the decision is not all that difficult.

But have you ever considered how little time and attention you’re investing in deciding to create the life you desire, and deserve? Imagine for a moment, that you are looking at the choices of staying in your exact conditions, or of stepping into an enticing life of more….

Staying in indecision is actually a decision in itself
(and it’s a painful one)

There comes a moment in every woman’s life when she stands at a crossroads—one path leads to more of the same, and the other to something greater. The moment she decides to step forward, to cut away what no longer serves her, everything changes.

The word decide shares its roots with words like homicide and pesticide—it literally means to cut away. To decide is to remove every other option. No more half-hearted attempts. No more ‘I’ll try.’ No more excuses. Decide. And do it.

By the way, the most successful people in the world “decide” quickly, and they never look back. It’s certainly a practice to hone. The more aware you are of the decisions you make, as you make them, the more you will witness the results of those decisions. Practice makes perfect. And the art of deciding is an important practice to add to your self-love toolbox!

The late Bob Proctor, a pioneer in personal transformation, and one of my favorite life guides, put it perfectly:

“There is a single mental move you can make which, in a millisecond, will solve enormous problems for you. It has the potential to improve almost any personal or business situation you will ever encounter… and it could literally propel you down the path to incredible success. We have a name for this magic mental activity… it is called DECISION.”

The moment a woman decides—really decides—she is no longer the woman she was just seconds before, she’s no longer trapped by fear, doubt, or limitations. She is free. It may feel intimidating, even a little scary, as everything new does, yet, it also offers a feeling of exhuberance and thrilling promise.

To “decide” to transform your life isn’t about waiting until you feel ready—it’s about choosing to be ready now. It’s about cutting away the options of failure, of settling, of playing small. It’s about stepping fully into the life you desire and deserve. It’s about first deciding that you WILL commit to your desired outcome.

The 3-step process to confidently choosing your next move—without regret:

How many times have you hesitated, second-guessed yourself, or avoided making a decision out of fear of making the wrong one? If you’re like most women, you’ve been there—stuck in indecision, waiting for certainty that never seems to come.

The truth? Confidence in decision-making isn’t about knowing the perfect answer. It’s about trusting yourself enough to move forward, knowing that no matter what happens, you can handle it.

Here’s your 3-step process to confidently choosing your next move—without regret:

Step 1: CLARIFY—What Do You Really Want?

Too often, decisions are clouded by outside noise—expectations, obligations, or fears of disappointing others. But this is your life, and your decisions should align with your desires.

  • Ask yourself: If no one else’s opinion mattered, what would I choose?
  • Identify what you truly want, not just what you think you should want.
  • Write down your top three values—does this decision align with them?

Clarity comes when you strip away the noise and listen to your inner wisdom.

Step 2: COMMIT—Decide with Conviction

The biggest energy leak in decision-making is wavering. Once you make a choice, commit to it fully. Second-guessing drains your confidence and keeps you stuck in uncertainty.

  • Make the decision as if it’s already done. How does that feel?
  • Set a deadline for yourself. Indecision thrives in the absence of urgency.
  • Remind yourself: There are no wrong choices—only different experiences.

When you commit, you take your power back. You move from a place of hesitation to a place of strength.

Step 3: COURSE-CORRECT—Give Yourself Permission to Adjust

This may be the most powerful step of all: Decisions aren’t set in stone. If something doesn’t go as planned, you’re not stuck—you’re simply gathering new information.

  • Ask: What is this experience teaching me?
  • Remember that every decision is a stepping stone, not a final destination.
  • Be willing to pivot when needed, without labeling it as a “mistake.”

Confidence in decision-making isn’t about never adjusting course—it’s about trusting yourself to navigate whatever comes next.

Breaking the Pattern of Second-Guessing

To boldly step into your next level, you must disrupt the cycle of overthinking and self-doubt. Here’s how:

  • Trust your intuition—Your first instinct is often the most aligned with your truth.
  • Take small, decisive actions daily—Confidence grows through consistent movement, not just contemplation.
  • Reframe mistakes as growth—Every choice offers valuable lessons that guide your next move.
  • Surround yourself with expanders—Connect with those who inspire bold action, not fear-based hesitation.
  • Declare your decisions—Speak them out loud, write them down, and embody them fully.

The Power of Deciding with Confidence

Every choice you make is either moving you forward or keeping you stuck. The more you practice making decisions with clarity, commitment, and adaptability, the more confident you’ll become in your ability to create the life you desire.

If you’ve felt stuck in a cycle of not enough—not enough confidence, not enough love, not enough wealth, not enough self-worth—this is your moment to decide. And if you need guidance on that journey, I’m here. And if you decide that you don’t want my guidance, I celebrate you anyway. What matters is that you decide.
