Tapping into the “YES” of the Source of Abundance
I’ll go out on a skinny limb here and say that I’m not a fan of “tapping” that a lot of self-help gurus promote. I watched Louise Hay tap. I watched Dr. Wayne Dyer tap. I’ve spent countless hours following the promoters on YouTube and webinars. I’ve seen testimonials of how well “tapping” works to help release stuck energy, and I’m all for releasing energetic blocks. The practice of tapping, is just not for me. In fact, tapping makes me anxious and cranky. My head is especially off limits to even a slight touch, and my scalp is highly sensitive–I’ve been called “tender headed” for as long as I can recall; brushing my long locks is reserved only for me. Honestly, I don’t know if being “tender headed” has anything at all to do with not liking the tapping, but I know for sure that I don’t like my face and scalp being thumped on, and so I found other ways that don’t include meridian tapping. It’s just a personal choice.
WIth that disclosure out of the way, I will admit to meditating, and to daily connection with the Universe. As much as possible I start each day with gratitude and meditation, with some journaling, and with some intention about the day to come. Before bed, I repeat the process with a healthy dose of gratitude, with some introspection, and with a meditation as I drift off to sleep. This practice suits my disposition much more than does tapping on my meridians. Tapping, if the concept is new to you, is the traditional Chinese medicine practice of gently tapping specific points on your body, located along energy pathways called meridians. The goal of this meridian tapping is to balance energy flow, potentially alleviating any physical and emotional discomforts. I don’t doubt the power of Chinese medicine; this particular practice simple does not resonate with me. But if tapping works for you, I’d love to hear about your experience. I may not be swayed, but at least I will have some context to consider.
Here’s why I bring up “tapping” as in tapping into “YES”. When we notice that the Universe always says “yes” to our requests, we can learn to make requests in such a way that we manifest much quicker. It has to do with an understanding of resistance. You can manifest the life you desire, when you consciously tap into the Universe’s consistent stream of abundance. And in the next posts, you’ll learn how…
